I adore tulips. I wanted to recreate the playfulness of these particular flowers and the way the petals change shape after a few days in a vase of water.

Dahlias are definitely my thing you either love them or loathe them and I love them. From a still life I wanted to capture the sumptuous almost velvet appearance of the flower’s petals here.
